30 | How to Feel Good about Yourself Beyond Your Body

Looking better isn’t the answer to feeling good about yourself. Sure, sometimes it’s fun to get dressed up and put on lipstick (it sure makes me feel good!)

But there’s more to feeling good than simply looking good, you have to really like who you are and see value in yourself.

That’s harder to do than contour your face and pick a shade of lipstick, wouldn’t you say?

Maybe you only feel valuable when other people point it out, so that’s why you rely on your appearance.

No matter what your body looks like, it’s all to easy to fall into the pattern of comparing yourself to other people and feeling crappy about what you’ve got going on.

Don’t worry, I hear you and I know what that feels like.

You have beliefs that other people put in your mind. Every belief you have you learned from others.

When you look inward and understand exactly why you feel bad about yourself, you can start choosing which beliefs you want to keep.

The ones that makes you feel good, confident, and strong are ones you want to expand. The beliefs that make you feel small, insignificant, and unworthy of your desires are the ones you want to release.

Feeling good about yourself comes down to the beliefs you’re choosing to hold in your mind. Think about it, the people who taught you those beliefs are just people. They’re flawed like you and me. So maybe the beliefs they have are wrong?

Remember, this is a journey and NO one feels great & fantastic every single day. Don’t be so hard on yourself, this is the only body you get!
